1784 Warren County, NC Marriage Bond of Nancy Pardue to Thomas Newman

Ann Pardue appears to have been the youngest daughter and youngest child of John Pardue who died in 1769. James Burke, her stepfather, was security for her marriage to Thomas Newman.   A girl named Ann is those times and before was  often called Nancy or Nan. Because James Burke was stepfather to Ann, it appears highly unlikely that he would have been security for any other person, other than his stepdaughter.

born circa 1750/52. Morris Pardue who was security for Alexander Burnam was Phebe's youngest brother.
